www.strochsfc.com spoke to Chris Reilly of the 1920 St Roch’s Supporters Club earlier and got a wee update of the goings on at the club and what the hopes for the future are.
“The 1920 would firstly like to wish all our members, non-members and everyone connected with the club, a very happy healthy and prosperous new year.
The debut season of the supporters bus has, so far, been successful and despite our last away game being in October, our membership has held up well.
We were immensely proud to have successful ran a, bus-led, food and toy drive just before Christmas. On behalf of the bus, I would like to thank our members, the club and everyone who supported this initiative to ensure we helped spread a bit of Candy cheer, within the community.
Going forward, for 2018, we have away games against Thorniewood United (13th January), Blantyre Victoria (10th February) and Lesmahagow (24th February) coming up and we look forward to taking a big away support to these games, to get behind the team, as we look to make a push in the run in for promotion.
Also on the horizon, the club have organised a supporters night on the 26th January in the Ranza Bar, where we will have live music. Tickets will soon be available, priced at a reasonable £5. We will keep you updated on where and when you can purchase tickets.
So a lot in store as we enter 2018 and we hope we can continue to receive the backing and support you have given the 1920 over the last 6 months
